How the treatment works
LED Light Therapy uses targeted light wavelengths to influence skin cells without abrasives or UV exposure. In the anti-aging setting, red and near-infrared light stimulate fibroblasts to encourage collagen and elastin activity, which can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and improve texture and smoothness over time.
For acne, the Celluma light therapy setting uses blue and complementary wavelengths to reduce acne-causing bacteria and calm inflamed pores. This method works without harsh chemicals, harmful UV-rays, or chemical exfoliants, making it suitable as a gentle complement to other in-office treatments.
What to expect during session
As an add-on, LED Light Therapy is scheduled alongside your primary treatment. A trained provider selects the red, blue, or infrared setting based on your concern and places the light panels over the treatment area for a brief, 15 minutes session. Most clients find the experience comfortable and non-invasive.
Glow Skin Care schedules early-morning, lunchtime, and evening appointment blocks to fit busy routines—convenient for commuters using US-101 or the SMART rail and for people visiting Courthouse Square or Railroad Square. Demand spikes in January for rejuvenation and in August and September for post-summer acne concerns.
Outcomes and decision factors
Clients often report improved skin texture, a smoother appearance, and reduced visibility of fine lines after a series of sessions; older clients in particular have noticed visible changes in skin quality. Individual responses vary, and measurable collagen or texture changes typically develop over multiple treatments rather than after a single visit.
Because this is an add-on, consider your goals and time investment: the add-on costs $45 and adds 15 minutes to your appointment. It pairs well with facials or acne protocols, and local factors—like our Mediterranean climate and occasional wildfire smoke—can affect skin needs and the timing of sessions.
