I moved to Santa Rosa a little over a year ago and have spent much of that time finding new everything, grocery stores, doctors and aestheticians. My daughter has been my sherpa in this endeavor and we love doing things together. She routinely and I on occasion have gotten facials in San Francisco but I prefer Santa Rosa as no road trips involved. She chose Glow based on reviews which turned out to be a wise decision. As a teenager I had acne which I would describe as severe but more accurate might have been moderate. Now that I am 80, post menopausal I feel like my face is once again that of a teenager. Mostly concerned that now I am getting those rock hard whiteheads. While I have always been a sporadic facial person, as a retired person, I have more time to look at my face and more time to go on YouTube and learn of all the treatments. I had decided that the prescribed medication of Tretinoin was the best and only solution for me. However, who does not love a little self-care like a facial. My daughter made the appointment for me and the day arrived with rain rain and rain being the dominant theme. Leah both texted and called to confirm I was coming as some customers had been unable to even get out of their residences. The building is clearly marked and the inside decorated in a peaceful manner. I loved that it was sparkling clean which indicated that sanitation was important to them. You have to ring the doorbell for admission and Leah met me with a smile and interest in my skin journey. She was gentle in her application of products, being sure to tell what she was doing next and what the intended result would be. The hour passed easily and I could immediately see results in the lines near my eyes and above my lips. Leah told me that it was because my face was so dehydrated. We also discussed moisturizes and which type would be best for my skin. She gave me samples of a VitA moisturizer and an exfoliant. No pressure to buy but only to try and see if it worked for me. And I loved the idea that neither of these products would be as aggressive or harsh as what I seen on YT. It has only been a couple of days since I went and started using the products, but the feel was just as she promised, a slight tingling. I am looking forward to a more prolonged use of the products in the hopes my face improves. Leah, this spa and these products get five stars. I can't imagine going anywhere else in Santa Rosa for facials and I definitely want to try other services they offer. This was undoubtedly my best search for my new life in SR.
